11/14/2023 0 Comments Journal of jordan![]() Phytochemical studies have shown the presence of numerous valuable compounds, such as volatile compounds, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, fatty acids, and amino acids. It has been used for more than forty types of disorders. ![]() Findings based on their traditional uses and scientific evaluation indicates that Foeniculum vulgare remains to be the most widely used herbal plant. ![]() It also compiles available scientific evidence for the ethnobotanical claims and to identify gaps required to be filled by future research. The review aims to gather the fragmented information available in the literature regarding morphology, ethnomedicinal applications, phytochemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology of Foeniculum vulgare. Additionally, it is also used as a galactagogue agent for lactating mothers. arabicaįoeniculum vulgare commonly called fennel has been used in traditional medicine for a wide range of ailments related to digestive, endocrine, reproductive, and respiratory systems. These results suggest the presence of anti-feeding and/or toxic substances in the extracts that may be useful in developing bio-insecticides based on C. Using nutritional indices, it was established that there was a significant decrease in growth rate concomitant with a reduction in consumption. Under no-choice conditions, the methanol extract of siliquae was the most active, and the antifeedant index calculated over 24 hr for 3rd instar larvae varied significantly from 16 to 37%. arabica extracts exhibited significant antifeeding and phagostimulating activities against S. The polar extracts caused significant mortality. (Malpighiales: Euphorbiaceae), leaf discs. (Brassicales: Capparidaceae) were evaluated in the laboratory for their antifeeding and insecticidal effect on larvae of the cotton leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis (Boisduval) (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae), using a leaf dipping bioassay with castor bean, Ricinus communis L. The results from this study strongly suggest that allelopathy may be a possible mechanism controlling the timing of germination and seed vigour in Foeniculum vulgare.Īqueous and organic (hexane, chloroform, and methanol) extracts of siliquae, stems and leaves, and seeds of Cleome arabica L. The results indicated the allelopathic effects of saffron corms and showed that by increasing extract concentration all indices decreased dramatically. There was a negative correlation between DGS with %G, SVI and MDG. In correlation analysis, a significant relation between all seed vigour indices were observed except for CVG with all other indices. Analysis of variance showed that effects of treatments on all indices were significant, except on CVG. Also probit analysis was used for studying the seed reaction to different levels of saffron corms water extract concentration. In this experiment, some indices related to the seed vigour including mean time germination (MTG), mean daily germination (MDG), daily germination speed (DGS), coefficient velocity germination (CVG), seedling vigour indices (SVI) and radicle and plumule length measured. corms water extract concentration (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%). Treatments were five levels of Crocus sativus L. To find out the allelopathic possibility of saffron corms on germination indices of Foeniculum vulgare an experiment was performed in completely randomized design with four replications and conducted in Seed Science and Technology laboratory in Faculty of Agricultural of Islamic Azad University, Mashhad Branch in 2011. This is only possible if there is no allelopathy between crops intercropped. Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering is cited by a total of 157 articles during the last 3 years (Preceding 2022).Foeniculum vulgare is a medical plant from Umbellifera (Apiaceae) family that can be used in mixed cropping with Crocus sativus L. It is used for the recognition of journals, newspapers, periodicals, and magazines in all kind of forms, be it print-media or electronic. The ISSN of Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering journal is 19956665.Īn International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is a unique code of 8 digits. The best quartile for this journal is Q3. SJR acts as an alternative to the Journal Impact Factor (or an average number of citations received in last 2 years). It considers the number of citations received by a journal and the importance of the journals from where these citations come. SCImago Journal Rank is an indicator, which measures the scientific influence of journals. The overall rank of Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering is 17879.Īccording to SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), this journal is ranked 0.226. Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering is a journal covering the technologies/fields/categories related to Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (Q3) Mechanical Engineering (Q3).
